Theo is one month old today! I can’t believe it. Once again time is flying. It’s a little surreal to be sitting here typing a one-month update. Twelve months of Isla seems like just yesterday. Since I never ended up writing even one word in Isla’s baby book, I cherish those monthly blog posts highlighting her growth and budding personality. So naturally, I’ve decided to do it again for Theo. Here goes!
In just one month, our little Theo has turned our world upside down in the best possible way. He’s an easy-going guy who spends most of his time sleeping, though he’s on an all day nursing kick that makes chasing a toddler around challenging. He’s starting to coo and I can tell he remembers our voices from those nine months in the womb and is starting to recognize our faces. He may even have given me a small smile that one time. Or maybe it was just gas. Little stinker. He snorts when he’s hungry (just like his sister did), pees everywhere (including that one time he peed on his own face) and enjoys car rides and short walks to the coffee shop with his mama and big sister. He also really loves it when Isla pokes him in the eyeballs and sticks her finger up his nose. As for his parents, we are immensely grateful for all the sleeping he does at night! (Please keep that up, buddy. Pretty please.)
Thank you, sweet Theo, for joining our family and making us happier than I ever thought possible. Happy one month!
p.s. This monthly photo shoot thing is infinitely more difficult with a toddler around who wants to touch everything!
