Backpacks for modern momstop: Everlane | Swankaroo | Storq

I’d say my love of backpacks has come full circle, but I’d be lying. I was one of those girls in high school who was too cool for a backpack. Quite honestly, I don’t remember what I carried. Probably a backpack. A JanSport maybe? But I’m certain I wasn’t happy about it. Now, as a mom, I love the idea of having my hands free and toting the never-ending supply of toddler necessities on my back. It helps that there are some way more stylish and fun options these days, too. We have the Kanken Mini (as you’ve seen), and we still love it. It has become Isla’s backpack though so I use it a little less these days. I’ll probably steal it back once baby no. 2 comes along and I imagine he’ll get his own one day, too, because just because they are different genders doesn’t mean they can’t have matchy-matchy cool stuff. Anyway. Here are just a few of the backpacks I’ve spotted recently and love for toting a million things around the city. I’d use any one of these both with and without kids in tow.

p.s. Swankaroo (top middle) also makes the most adorable little backpacks specially-designed for kids. I think Isla needs one ASAP!
