BOOKROO | REVIEW + DISCOUNT FOR YOU

Bookroo kids book subscription service reviewWelcome to Christmas in June at the Page house. Not really, but I’m sure that’s what Isla thought. Let me introduce you to Bookroo, a kids book subscription service I had the pleasure of trying and reviewing (and offering a discount for you guys!). First, let me say we received our first month’s package and couldn’t be more thrilled.

But let’s backup. Bookroo offers month-by-month, three-month or six-month subscriptions. Each month you receive either three board books (for kids Isla’s age) or two picture books. The titles are a surprise and every subscriber gets the same selection so you won’t get duplicates month-after-month. Isla loves books, which means we have a pretty nice collection already and I was concerned we’d get a package containing books we already own. Not a problem, says Bookroo Co-Founder Jane Tanner. If you get a book you already own, take a picture of yourself (or your little one because hello adorable) giving the book as a gift to someone else and in return you’ll receive $5 off your next subscription. Genius.

Our June shipment arrived wrapped up all pretty like Christmas morning (only better because my wrapping skills would not exactly get me hired at the North Pole) with three brand new-to-us books, including:

Cuddle!  by Beth Shoshan and Jacqueline East
Moustache UP!: A Playful Game of Opposites by Kimberly Ainsworth
The NICE Book by David Ezra Stein

All three books are adorable (the moustache book includes press-on moustaches so kids can put them on the faces in the book!) and came at a perfect time (Isla has been hitting us a lot lately in frustration and The NICE Book tells her, “When you get in a snit, DON’T HIT!”).

As for pricing, it’s $19.99 for one month, $55.99 for three months, and $104.99 for six months. Thanks to the Bookroo crew, you guys can click this very special link right here to receive $4 off the subscription of your choice! Considering board books are upwards of $6 each (and sometimes much more), this is a great deal, especially as a gift for a baby shower, for new parents or for seasoned parents with zero time for book shopping.

Needless to say, we love this service and can’t wait to sign up for more. Dear pregnant or soon-to-be pregnant friends: now you know what you’ll be getting from the Page family!
