Maternity Style

Maternity Style: Kimono | really risa
I splurged on this kimono for three reasons: 1. I got a 20 percent off promo for Mother’s Day, 2. it’s gorgeous and 3. the petite suddenly came back in stock and it was a sign. And did I mention it’s gorgeous? That’s four. The regular size would have undoubtedly swallowed me whole, but Anthropologie’s petite section and I are having quite a love affair. Take note every other retailer in the world without petites. The fabric is delicate, which is scary since Isla likes to grab it and tug as hard as she can, and it’s lighter than I expected, which is a happy surprise because it adds coverage without any weight whatsoever. I predict I’ll be wearing this a lot over tank tops and tees this summer. Happy belated Mother’s Day to me!

p.s. I love these maternity shorts. I rolled them one extra time because who doesn’t love a little cheek?, but they’re surprisingly comfortable. I didn’t think I’d be into the side paneling (as opposed to the stretchy waistband I got used to during my first pregnancy), but I liked them so much I bought them in white, too, since both colors are on super double sale right now! I recommend you size up though. Reviewers mostly agree they run a little small and I second them.
