East Passyunk Easter Egg Hunt 2015
Isla experienced her very first Easter egg hunt and visit with the Easter bunny over the weekend and it was kind of adorable (and a little scary). You probably don’t know this (and I probably shouldn’t be telling the internet my worst fears) but I suffer from masklophobia … a fear of masks/mascots. I know, it’s ridiculous, but it’s a thing and it’s really real guys. If I can’t see your face, we have a problem. Just ask the mascot at my last job (I worked for a university) who scared me so badly by running into my office and jumping out from behind the wall that I actually terrified¬†him with my blood-curdling scream and he spent the better part of a year apologizing for nearly killing me. My daughter, on the other hand, kept trying to poke the bunny in the nose and couldn’t contain her giggles. So I guess my plan to avoid Disney World like the plague is not going to end well, huh? Anyway, enough about that. Aside from the snow that clobbered us on the first day of spring, I’d say our first egg hunt was a success. Mostly because Chris and I get to eat all the candy. That’s what I call a win-win.
