My husband — sorry, I mean Santa — knows me so well. Or he clicks the links I send him. Either way, I was thrilled to find this beautiful scarf and a new, black hat under the tree on Christmas morning. Now I can stop wearing my “Indiana Jones hat” every second of every day (that’s what one of our neighbors calls it when he sees me out and about.). I still love my Indy hat, but one does need a bit of variety, no? The scarf is made by my blogger friend, Jaclyn, and her husband. They own an Etsy shop called Acacia and they specialize in these gorgeous, oversized, flannel scarves. It’s so big and soft I’ve been using it as a blanket in the living room since Christmas morning. I’ve been shopping for a big, warm scarf for a while and the colors in this one are beyond anything I’ve seen. You can bet I’ll be wrapped up in this beauty right up until summer!
In unrelated news, I hope you had a wonderful New Year! We celebrated with a low-key dinner at home on NYE (ahem, I fell asleep at 9 p.m.), a fun New Year’s Day out and about party hopping, a first birthday celebration just the three of us on Isla’s birthday and rounded out the weekend with her final first birthday party with friends, which you might have read about earlier this week. Needless to say, it’s been a crazy end to one year and start to another. Now I’m looking forward to getting back into a routine and seeing what 2015 brings!
