You know those booties I’ve been talking about nonstop the past few weeks? Well, I woke up Sunday morning to a true, brisk fall morning and couldn’t wait to finally wear them for a walk to grab coffee with the little bee. And I realized what I knew all along: they’re lovely. The midnight blue suede is gorgeous, while the black leather detail makes them just a little bit badass. Usually, at the beginning of most seasons, I stare at the shoes I really want over and over telling myself to just wait until they go on sale. Then they do and they’re gone in my size (my feet are tiny, guys). But not these beauties. I’m finally learning. And I used a 20% off discount, so there! And now some other random thoughts: a) I bought this flannel shirt last fall when I was very large and pregnant and I wore it right up until the baby came (and long after). I’m thinking about investing in a few more for what they’re predicting will be another brutal winter. I might even tie it around my waist because, obviously, the 90s are back. b) I need a new hat. Maybe a black one. I wear this one every day and it’s time for some variety. c) These jeans are on sale at J.crew for only $99. They’re stretchy, skinny and snug at the same time. I wear them every day. Go get ’em.
