lunch date

On Tuesday, Isla and I decided we were sick of the same old walk every single day (sometimes two to three times a day!) so we grabbed the stroller and made our way to Center City to meet Chris for lunch. Ah, I guess I forgot how far it is … more than two miles each way! I had a blister on my hand from pushing the stroller, my glutes are so sore I can barely walk and my arms are like jelly. But seriously, it was worth it for this:

But hey Philly, could you please get your act together with these un-stroller friendly subway stations? Once it’s just Isla and the stroller I’m sure lifting it will be fine. But stroller + car seat + baby, not so much. Anyway. Enough complaining, more walking! With this beautiful spring weather and the gorgeous trees along our route, we can handle a little exercise.

Don’t subway stations have elevators for disabled elderly and momma’s with strollers if needed. If not they should. during Caydens first two years I used the stroller as a way to make exercise more challenging and interesting on runs and walks so that’s a good way to look at it when you walk.

Nope. Only some of the stations are wheelchair accessible. The two by us are not, which means lots of stairs!
