baby girl

Well guys, we made it nearly two weeks with the little one. So far she’s happy and being very kind to her mama and daddy. We sleep well at night, the little one is eating enough and quickly approaching her birth weight and she’s the cuddliest little thing alive. Good thing, too, because cuddle is all I want to do these days. As for my c section recovery, I’m feeling great. Trying not to push it too hard but I’m in virtually no pain, just some soreness that pops up if I overdo it with all the neighborhood walks. I’m hoping to feel like my self again very soon. I have to say that’s a pleasant surprise. I thought I’d be laid up for several weeks in agony, but instead I get to enjoy these first days with my little one pretty pain free. For that I am forever grateful because I already see her growing and my heart breaks just a little bit for this newborn stage that will soon be a distant memory.

Thank you to all of you for stopping by to send us your well wishes! They mean so much to Chris and me. We are just so smitten and it’s a joy to be able to share our happiness with all of you. Some day when I tell Isla her mama was a blogger I’m sure she’ll love it, too. (Or she’ll be so mad at me for sharing all of her pictures all over the internet. But hey, we’ll see.) I hope you’re enjoying the posts from my guest bloggers. I have some more fun stuff coming up soon and I hope to get some outfit posts back in the mix sooner rather than later so stay tuned! xx!

p.s. For those of you in Philly, my blog is featured in an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer today! Here’s an online version (minus the photos).

p.p.s. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a pair of adorable Freshly Picked moccasins for your little one by Friday!

Did they give you one of those contraptions to bind your stomach? I found that to be invaluable. A c-section really is a big deal, I never thought much of it until I had one myself.

    Glad you are recovering nicely.

Hi Nora, They actually didn’t give me one of those. My sister had one and said it was a lifesaver but I completely forgot to ask at the hospital.
