this or that? {winter boots}

Women's Sorel 1964; Sperry for J.Crew winter boots

With a baby due in January, I am determined to have all the gear I could possibly need to make sure I don’t make any excuses about avoiding the cold and staying cooped up inside. I’ve heard many stories about babies born in winter whose mamas have a hard time adjusting because they’re stuck inside all alone. Not this girl. We live in the city and that means little miss and her mama are going to be taking walks, meeting friends for hot chocolate dates and braving the crisp, cold air regularly. We got one of these warm and cozy sleeping bag-like thingies for the stroller and you all know I’ve already invested in a few knit hats and gloves for my little one. Now all I need is a solid pair of winter boots for myself. I’m looking for cute but light. I want to be warm and dry, but it’s not like we live in Alaska (or Michigan for that matter!).

So what do you think? The much loved Sorel or the new Sperry for J.Crew?

      Very true. Wonder if they’ll keep me warm and last as many years as the Sorels though …
