make an impression-ism

Close up of the BB Dakota Manet Blouse

I don’t know much about art, but this  “Manet” top has earned its name. You know, the French artist Édouard Manet … known for influencing the Impressionism movement? Right well, I don’t think he designed this shirt but I love it anyway. About this time last year I found myself thinking I needed more color and prints in my wardrobe. This season, I can’t stop buying them. I am particularly fond of pieces with unique cuts, bold colors and funky shapes … like the penguin tail on this blouse and the way the see-through print stands out both against my black cami and white jeans. And since it’s a tank top, I’m thinking this guy’s going to get a lot of exposure this summer. Overall, I’m quite impressed. Get it? Get it? Sorry, I’ll stop now.

Love it. It actually reminds me more of Monet than Manet…or it’s very Lee Krasner (http://fineartamerica.com/featured/lee-krasner-spider-plant-digital-detail-5-dick-sauer.html). Sorry, I’m an art nerd!

Ha! Well you know way more than I do. The shirt is called “Manet” so I went with it. :)
