spring forward

I am one of those people who truly believes everything happens for a reason. I’ve had many ups and downs these last few years … from unbelievable joys to great tragedies … but I’ve come to realize it’s how you react to these tests of character that really matters. I say this because last week started with some seriously fantastic successes and ended with lots of unhappy tears. So what did I do? I woke up Saturday bright and early, apologized to my husband for going to bed without eating the dinner he so sweetly cooked for us (and the surprise “it’ll all be okay” cupcakes I had no idea were waiting for me) and spent a glorious day in the city with my girls. I’m no doctor, but I’d say this is what she ordered. Also, red polka dot shoes and fun new denim helps. I swear.

  3. Love your pants and shoe combo! The pictures are awesome as well. What camera and lens are you using?

Thanks, April! I have the Canon Rebel t3i. For outfits I use a 50mm lens, which I couldn’t live without.
