Style

dressed down

I wore these trousers with a bright orange top to the conference in New York last week and the whole ensemble felt a little dressy. I’m known for always being a bit overdressed, but at the end of the day I’m a denim girl. The other night I actually slept in my favorite pair of jeans. I know, I know, that’s weird. But in my defense I was so comfortable I actually just fell asleep … on accident. I swear. Anyway, I decided to add a more casual piece to prep and dress these beautiful brocade knickers down. I love the way this chambray top provides a bit of tomboy style to these ultra snazzy slacks (how many ways can I say pants in this post?). With the heels and my favorite studded fringe bag I’m ready for just about any occasion.

[i promised to show you my new E.Kammeyer tassel bracelet so here she is! it wraps around about three times and i love how the gold tassel hangs off to the side.]

[big ups to my husband for this post. we took these photos on what i really think was the coldest day of the year. my hair was blowing away, my toes were frostbitten and Chris could barely feel his fingertips. that’s what i call love.]

Love the top. I am the complete opposite though, I do not like denim jeans very much at all (on me that is, they look great on most people) however, I am really into the demin/chambray tops and dresses for women this spring and summer season. I just want to wear some with some bright fun heels or sandals… oh winter be over soon!
