I teased you in last Monday’s post about the roaring 20s party we attended two weekends ago and today I’m finally getting a chance to share the photos. Susan (of Susan Schneider Design — visit her blog for all the details!) threw the 1920s-themed fête in honor of her last birthday in the decade, and perhaps the end of her own années folles. She went all out, from plastic cigarette holders to prohibition-style brown paper bagged alcohol bottles to ostrich feathers everywhere. There is something refreshing about finally reaching an age where everyone is down for playing a little dress up. It’s like being a kid again, only with classy drinks and fake cigarettes (because by now we’ve realized smoking is so not cool).

the details made the party and Susan did not skimp.
