And the perfect weekend continues … After our vineyard-hopping concluded (check out my last post to catch up!), we headed to check into the Hotel on Rivington in the Lower East Side. I swear there was some mixup (read: It’s possible one of us is a celebrity but doesn’t know it), because we were quickly upgraded to none other than the owner’s suite …
… that’s 1,000 square feet of floor-to-ceiling NYC views — have you ever showered in front of a window whilst gazing at the Empire State Building? It’s one for the bucket list –, bunk beds for the ladies (don’t worry, they each had their own flat screen), a king-sized Tempur-Pedic for me, a closet the size of my first apartment, a balcony that spanned the entire length of the hotel, two full baths, a kitchenette and NYC views to die for.
each of these photos was taken whilst lying in my bed. yes, I’m serious.
our private balcony

that’s me on the outside with the views behind me. can you see my future sister-in-law, Carolyn, snapping this shot? we had way too much fun with this. you’d think we’d never been treated like royalty before … er …

the view from the front (we had floor-to-ceiling views from three sides!)

Coop Restaurant — apparently these are portraits of designers and well-to-dos who reside in the LES

When Sarah planned my bachelorette party, she made sure to incorporate all the things I love … first wine tasting and then a foodie’s dream, all in my favorite city! Co-op Restaurant, which came highly recommended, serves its dishes family style, which meant I could enjoy my sushi with the other ladies and share some land-lovers treats with Sarah! The menu featured everything from braised pork belly “Lower East Sliders” and spicy tuna rolls with “dynamite sauce” to peanut chicken satay and mini ceviche tacos with mango-avocado salsa. And look at those adorable desserts: a trio of ice cream sandwiches, a molten chocolate brownie and, I’m not at all embarrassed to say, we ordered a few others, too. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but every bite was absolutely incredible.
Turns out the girls were just as surprised as I was when the waiter brought out our dessert with a sparkler! Like I said, Hotel on Rivington and it’s restaurant, Co-op, treat their guests like queens.

clockwise: red velvet pancakes with chocolate chips and whipped cream cheese; fruit+ there’s an egg white omelet with the works tucked in the back there; dulce de leche french toast with brioche, strawberries, and Chantilly cream; and the classic Benedict on an English muffin with smoked ham and béarnaise. I’m salivating even now.
Thanks to the girls for the trip of a lifetime. I’ve never been so happy.
