After a day of nonstop, long overdue house cleaning on Saturday, we treated ourselves to date night. I’ve only worn this elastic waist short-sleeved dress once — a year ago in Scotland with tights — so I was excited when I found it tucked away in my closet. I love rediscovering old pieces and giving them new life. I threw on my white blazer (last seen here) and nude slingbacks (from my bridal shower) for a romantic sushi dinner.

There is no better way to unwind after a stressful few days than with a glass of wine and a little fresh air. My fiancé and I both arrived home stressed and on edge on Thursday after work. So we grabbed some wine and took a seat on the stoop to enjoy the warm weather. Meanwhile, he snapped some pics of my new snakeskin heels and favorite colors of late: dandelion and gold. Cheers to a happy, relaxing weekend!

I am on the hunt for the perfect wedding lipstick. Nearly every week I buy a new color. From Revlon to Chanel, glosses to stains, reds to oranges, I’ve tried it all. Of course, it’s all just a big excuse for me to indulge in lots of new lip colors! I’ve mixed colors — the YSL and Hourglass stains look awesome together and last forever, but turned out a little too raspberry-ish for the big day. I’ve invested in lip liner, which really does make the color stay longer. And I learned a new trick — warm water + soft toothbrush = the perfect lip exfoliant. So far my top three are: Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in Paradis, Estée Lauder Pure Color in Blushing and YSL Rouge Pur Couture – Vernis a Levres’ Glossy Stain in Rose Vinyl (all pictured below). In honor of Coachella weekend and incredibly beautiful weather, I broke out my favorite tribal skirt for a day of errands in the city. I’ll likely never make it to the desert for three days of the best music and style-watching on the planet, but if I was there I’d surely be sporting funky skirts, short shorts, cross-body bags and lots of hats and headbands. But hey, I’ll take a sunny 70-degree city day any day.
