I’ve been cooped up for days. Thanks to a case of strep, which I have yet to completely kick, and a beautiful Saturday spent sitting in metal chairs in a room with no windows, I woke up this morning in desperate need of fresh air and vitamin D. We decided to take a ride up toward Princeton to pick apples and enjoy the cool fall air with some hot apple cider. Only, it’s 84 degrees today and feels more like August than October. We stumbled upon the Terhune Orchards Family Fun Weekend Festival, complete with pumpkin painting, a cornstalk maze, a fresh farm store, pony rides and even apple-inspired wine tasting in a barn. And no orchard visit is complete without apple cider, caramel apples and apple cider donuts to go. It was the perfect day and just the medicine I needed.
